FORT MYERS (August 16, 2007) – Jeff Cooper, SRA, of Cooper Appraisal Corporation, has recently completed specialized training in relocation appraising through Worldwide ERC®.Worldwide ERC® networks workforce mobility professionals and human resources innovators, and is the recognized industry authority on relocation and international assignments in the U.S. and major global traffic areas. The Relocation Appraisal Training Program course was promoted through the Appraisal Institute, of which Cooper is a member.

“Relocation Appraising is a specialty that requires, among other unique aspects of appraising, forecasting for an anticipated future market, valuing an “Anticipated Sales Price” as opposed to the more typical Market Value, and the use of a myriad of analytical techniques,” says Cooper. “The recent roller-coaster ride of residential real estate sales prices in Southwest Florida and the fall-out from above-average activity on the part of speculative investors is an excellent example of why specialized training is necessary. Accurate sales price forecasting is of critical importance to business interests engaged in relocation. Even with 30 years of experience appraising residential real estate in Southwest Florida, I found the course to be a true learning experience about this specialized industry. There have been significant changes since I began appraising, and I found this course extremely valuable in highlighting current best practices.”

LOCAL REAL ESTATE APPRAISER COMPLETES SPECIALIZED TRAINING IN QUALITY ASSURANCE

FORT MYERS (February 19, 2008) – Jeff Cooper, SRA, of Cooper Appraisal Corporation, has recently completed specialized training in quality assurance in residential appraisals. The continuing education seminar was offered through the Appraisal Institute, of which Cooper is a member.

The seminar was a “real world” educational experience designed to show the residential appraisal community the consistent problems found by underwriters, appraisal reviewers, quality control divisions and fraud investigators. The seminar made appraisers aware of trouble spots underwriters and reviewers typically encounter in appraisal reports. Cooper will now be listed with FNC Inc., a resource for lenders who are seeking to expand their list of quality appraisers.

Jeff Cooper is a state certified, professionally designated, FHA-approved residential real estate appraiser with over 30 years of experience in appraising in Southwest Florida. He can be reached at 239-850-3977 or online at Jeff@cooperappraisalcorp.com
