Business digest: DiamondHead celebrates its green designation

DiamondHead resort on Fort Myers Beach celebrated its Florida Green Lodging designation Thursday, with a different twist: A spokesman for the Florida Electric Auto Association "christened" the parking space the resort has set aside for electric vehicles. According to the resort, Andrew Roddy drove over from his home in Palm Beach in his "e-Box," a Toyota Scion converted to electrical operation.
Energy conservation and pollution prevention are the two main goals of the green lodging program.
